Whats new in my beauty closet

 Here's an overview of the new products I just got this month

HAIR

Leonor Greyl : Gentle volumizing shampoo / reviviscence shampoo for dehydrated hair

Actually I've been using them for a while now especially the Leonor Greyl which I looove! I've been using them for years, they're a little expensive but they last long. I don't usually but a lot of shampoo in my hair because I feel like it's abrasive I don't know...

I also get the extra large bottles so I never run out of it =)

Aussie : Sun kissed Hairspray 

I think this hairspray is perfect when I wear my hair curly because it really holds my curls. It's also good when I used on my straight hair BUT it gets pretty sticky on the roots =/ it's a little too strong for my hair. I still keep it when I have structured hairstyles that will need extra hold =)

Tresseme : curl care

I got this one in Canada last month and have already got a bottle in the US 2 years ago. This mousse is just fantastic it sets the curls really well and quick ! It also leaves your hair shiny and not bad looking.

It's cheap and I like to put some after applying hair oil before

Yves Rocher : Protectyl Vegetal

I used to love this brand but I thought they're make up brand was not that good so I turned myself to other brands. And completely forgot that Yves Rocher has all natural/vegetal products which are WAY BETTER for your skin!! I try not to use parabens and silicone on my skin. (I don't mind it in my makeup but not in my skincare products) 

So basically it helps you keep your tan way longer (I use it right after my Comodynes towelettes)

Estee Lauder : new Pure Color nail polish

I always get a bottle every summer so I can tan faster or to hydrate my face and body after the sun

Benefit Cosmetics : Ooh Lala / Porefessional

The Ooh La La is one of my favorite clear concealer I love to use it before my foundation and during the day as touch-ups so my eyes stay frech

Porefessional : I use it everyday as a base along with MAC fix + to make your makeup last longer ;)

July Make Up Bag

Here are some products that I've been loving this july! 

Let me start with the tanning swipes that I use daily during the summer. They don't make you look orange at all, it gives you a natural shade and glow that will suit your skin perfectly!

It's easy to use : Just go thought all your body with one or two towelettes, you can even use it on your face (don't forget the ears and neck) 

 NO THESE ARE NOT CONDOMS !!!!!

I've been wearing all this stuff for this past month and I admit I kind of use them daily! 

As you can see there's a lot of stuff but I don't wear them all at the same time duh!

Inside my beauty area

This is my beauty area at my main house and there's almost all of my beauty stuff there.
I know it's a lot but I love having different products and to try new ones...

I can already hear people say its superficial and stuff but to me makeup is an art and just to know how many incredible things you can do with it is amazing. My friends know that I don't wear a lot of makeup by day and that I'm not superficial lol anyways not that I feel the need to explain myself but I'd like to avoid any weird comments =)

 This all the stuff I keep in my room, I have my essentials in my bathroom

Grey Smokey Eye x Urban Decay Deluxe Book

Now that I've been using my Urban Decay Deluxe Book i can show you a few looks that I've been rocking =)
This one is a metallic grey smokey eye I like to wear for a night out =) (even if in daylight it looks softer)

Base : Urban Decay Primer Potion (included in the book)

Highlighter : #Scratch (a thin layer all over my lid to fix the shimmer, 

under my brows and in my inner corners to highlight)

1st shadow : #Shag (a thick layer all over my lid)

2nd shadow : #Underground (a thick layer in my outer corner)

Liner : #Zero (along the lash line and in the crease)

I blended Zero and Underground in my crease in order to have a smooth result. Finally applied Zero on the bottom of my lashes and added some mascara

Red lips x Nars Funny Face

This lipstick from Nars is Funny Face, I don't really use it since I have full lips and it makes it bigger. I keep it for date nights or parties...

Spring 11 Beauty Trends

Ok so I know everybody talks about it but I've picked my 2 favorite spring trends, things that I would wear =)

Switch your basic black eyeliner for a color shade

bright colors are trendy this year but I think some makeup artist went a little too big with it! A thin layer of colored eyeliner looks bright and you don't end up looking like a clown....

I would advise to apply a thin layer of concealer before applying your liner so it doesn't blend all over the place.

And of course EASY on the lipstick!

Back it up ! 

This old hairstyle can be sooo edgy! When you don't know what to do with your hair use this !

Not only your hair will look shiny but it's also a chic look for a night out.

You can also wear it with a pony tail but I think the loose style looks better.

Start by your crown and comb the top and sides back. (Keep the comb lines so it looks like waves)

Let the sunshine in

Spring has finally come ! I thought winter would last for ever! Ugh!! I'm so happy to see the sun, people smile, I can wear colors, hang out later and so =) LIFE!

All the makeup trends for spring 2011 are Bold Lips, Natural Makeup, Pastels, Purple and so...

I know it's weird but I love to keep all the samples I get just to try it when I'm home because I don't always feel comfortable testing the products in the store with all the people that touches everything and all the germs... anyways I keep samples in a jar at home and when I have no idea of what to get at Sephora I just go on and try =) So as you can see I have may things to try for you guys :) See you soon for a full review asap!

Haul Urban Decay, Shiseido, Make Up For Ever...

I stopped by Sephora today to get some blue and green eyeshadow, I was first tempted by Nars's Cleo duo eyeshadow (31) but when I saw the Urban Decay Deluxe makeup book at only 37 I couldn't resist! Anyways I have to try a few looks to tell you what I think of it! I also got the Make Up For Ever Rouge Artistique number 33 for only 15 box ! I love this color, bright pinks suits my lips well =) also I try to wear more colors for spring time =)

Mac haul

Just got a few things from MAC last week =)

Fake Lashes #7 for a glamour look. You can wear it day and night! Just trim it first so that it can fits well.
Mascara Wands : I use it to shape my eyebrows and to mix my mascaras
Cream Blush #Posey : A really cute pink creamy blush to blend with your foundation !
Eyeshadow #Mythology : High pigmented shadow, perfect for a natural everyday look or mixed to a dark color for a night out!

Quick beauty touch-ups

I like to always have nice and sweet lips so I tend to put a lot of chapstick. I lost my cherry chapstick that I got from CVS =(( And since I tried so many ones and couldnt find the perfect match. Either it did not repair my lips or I could be too greasy or too thick. Anyways I saw this one at Sephora the other day and wanted to give it a try. I'll review it soon.

Also I was running out of cleansing wipes so I got those from Formula 10.0.6 which is a brand I really like, I wrote a review on it a few months ago, you can get it at Sephora by the way I was hesitating between those from Sephora and these so I tried the Formula ones yesterday night bef and this morning. And wow it really is great!! It takes off all the dirt of your face without leaving it dry (Sephora ones) or Greasy (Demakup Ones) =D

And finally here are some little things I got from H&M just to keep in my bag. I was also running out of Wet wipes to clean my hands and stuff. I used to use my hand sanitizer for this but I lost my bottle.
The wipes are apple scented, its a strong smell but its okay for me.

I also am a huge fan of body mists lol I have tons of it from H&M and Victoria's Secret ! I just like to refresh and spray it all over my body. It feels soo good and the smell is light =)
Finally I got a new makeup bag and a travel brush!

5 miraculous products under 15 bux!

BINGO !!!

I found 5 amazing products under 15! 

I have been searching for good grocery beauty products for a long time, trying them and not always getting the result wanted. But after trying a lot of them I found the 5 ones I can't get rid of! 

Let's start from left to right

1. Sephora body scrub (7 $) :

This body scrub is perfect, not too rough for your skin and it exfoliates very well without ripping your skin off lol, it also leaves your skin smooth and smelling like Hawaiian flowers =) divine!

2. L'oreal Million Lashes mascara in carbon black : (14 $)

I already got the first edition and was in loooove with it, but I lost it somewhere I can't remember, and since I tried other mascaras that I like such as Make Up For Ever Smoky Lash which was great but not black enough or the Dior Black Out that was too thick.

This one is wonderful, it separates the lashes one by one, they get longer, and really black! perfect!!  look at the brush here... 

3. Yves Rocher Hydrating mask (12$) :
I was looking for a good hydrating mask that doesn't itch my face. let me explain, I have this new addiction to exfoliate my skin every morning with a light cleanser but when I exfoliate too much my skin gets sensitive and I get some rednesses too =/
And I got this mask for xmas, and have been using it for a while now. It gives your skin a fresh sensation and leaves it moisturize and smooth =)

4. Garnier Roll On tired eyes (9$) :
I think I already showed you this roller on one of my make up tutorials, this little thing saved my eyes!!!
I was getting dark circles and puffs under my eyes because I was tired and stuff. After using the M.A.C concealer (which is great) my skin was getting a little dry so I had to find something that would help my eyes to deflate lol.
But all the eye contouring creams I found were around 40 box which is too much to spend on...
I went to the supermarket and found this roll on gel. It's actually really good!! It gives you a fresh effect under your eyes and deflates them =D

5. Nivea Sun Touch tanning lotion (9$) :
OMG!!! THE perfect tanning lotion so far. I used to be addicted to the Hema one but it discontinued =(
I had to find another one! When I saw this one I tought I would be like a random grocery tannin lotion but it's not! It works really good and you don't get an orange skin!
Just a little tip for better results : EXFOLIATE your skin before applying it!!
