Here's an overview of the new products I just got this month

HAIR

Leonor Greyl : Gentle volumizing shampoo / reviviscence shampoo for dehydrated hair

Actually I've been using them for a while now especially the Leonor Greyl which I looove! I've been using them for years, they're a little expensive but they last long. I don't usually but a lot of shampoo in my hair because I feel like it's abrasive I don't know...

I also get the extra large bottles so I never run out of it =)

Aussie : Sun kissed Hairspray

I think this hairspray is perfect when I wear my hair curly because it really holds my curls. It's also good when I used on my straight hair BUT it gets pretty sticky on the roots =/ it's a little too strong for my hair. I still keep it when I have structured hairstyles that will need extra hold =)

Tresseme : curl care

I got this one in Canada last month and have already got a bottle in the US 2 years ago. This mousse is just fantastic it sets the curls really well and quick ! It also leaves your hair shiny and not bad looking.

Yves Rocher : Protectyl Vegetal

I used to love this brand but I thought they're make up brand was not that good so I turned myself to other brands. And completely forgot that Yves Rocher has all natural/vegetal products which are WAY BETTER for your skin!! I try not to use parabens and silicone on my skin. (I don't mind it in my makeup but not in my skincare products)

So basically it helps you keep your tan way longer (I use it right after my Comodynes towelettes)

The Ooh La La is one of my favorite clear concealer I love to use it before my foundation and during the day as touch-ups so my eyes stay frech

Porefessional : I use it everyday as a base along with MAC fix + to make your makeup last longer ;)

Hair 2.0

Yes I finally did it! This weekend I decided it was time to go back to bronde hair =) As you may have read it on my previous posts I only use 2 brands to dye my hair... L'oreal Cream Gloss when I get a darker shade, or Dark and Lovely if lighter .
I've already used this exact color 2 years ago but now the color is way brighter. Maybe because of the sun I don't know. Anyway I really like it because its a mix of brown and blonde, not to light for the doll look lol.

10 Hair Tips You've Probably Never Heard Before by Cosmo

1) Find a shampoo that lathers less. Sudsy doesn’t necessarily mean clean—sometimes, it means the opposite. Shampoos that lather too much are often overloaded with moisturizing products, which can leave build-up in your hair, making it look and feel dirtier quicker. So opt for a sulfate-free formula.

2) Give your locks a burst of cold. Before you hop out of the shower, turn the cold water on for a second and quickly rinse it through your strands. It helps seal the cuticle, adding a sleek finish to your locks.

3) Play hot-and-cold as you dry. When using a round brush to dry your hair in sections, start from the roots and dry all the way to the ends, letting the brush linger at the tips of your strands. Let your hair cool off like this on its own for five seconds, then repeat on another section. Alternating between heat and cool-down time helps set your style, and your blowout will have more body.

4) Do an at-home glaze between color appointments. Glazes fill holes and rough spots in your hair cuticles, helping smooth your locks and put moisture back into your hair. This keeps your color shiny and bright so it lasts longer and look better. Plus, you can snag an at-home kit from your local drugstore.

5) Use rollers for high-volume. For sex-kitten lift, blow out your locks until they’re dry. Then, section off the hair on top of your head—between your temples and all the way back to the crown of your hair. Divide that section into three smaller sections vertically (as if you were making a mohawk), and wrap each in a 2-inch velcro hair roller. Let your hair sit like this for 30 minutes, and then unwrap your strands, lightly comb them out, and spray for hold.

6) Drop the towel. Keeping wet strands wrapped in a towel for a half-hour as you do your make-up will just cause frizz! The roughness of the cotton forces your hair cuticles open, making them more likely to go every-which-way. Instead, squeeze out excess water as soon as you’re out of the shower, then let your hair air-dry for five or ten minutes before blowdrying.

7) Apply products 10 minutes before you style. Whether you’re curling, straightening, or whatevering, applying product 10 minutes in advance helps it fully absorb into your strands so you get all of its benefits and more bang for your buck.

8) Wrap—don’t clamp—your hair for quick curls. When using a curling iron, you don’t need to fasten your locks to the barrel. Wrap sections around the iron and hold in place for about 10 seconds to score the same soft, sexy curls.

9) Use spray bottles as your new lazy-day BFF. If you wake up and your locks are totally flat or grungy from the day before, just spray the top layer of your hair until damp, and then use a big barrel roundbrush (2 inches or more) to blow your locks dry. You’ll score high volume on that top layer, and since it’s freshly blown out, you’ll create the illusion of all-over smooth hair.

10) Use dry shampoo a different way. Instead of waiting until your locks need an dirt-fighting pick-me-up, apply a dab of dry shampoo to your roots immediately after you wash and dry them. Though your hair’s already clean, the barrier will stave off the debris and oil your strands will collect throughout the day before it hits. Bonus: It also gives you killer volume.

New products I've been using and loving!

CURLY vs STRAIGHT

CURLY

I usually like to wear my hair curly during spring-summer so here to start 2 new hair products I've been using when I style my hair curly

L'Oreal Silk & Mousse : I've been using it for a few weeks now when I wear my hair curly. It gives a nice weavy look when you dry you hair with a blowdryer and brush it. It's a big bottle so it lasts long and there's enough gas to make a thick mousse. Also your hair won't be sticky after using it. Unfortunately I don't see the "silky" effect.

Elseve Boucles Sublimes : This hydrating/curling spray was given me from my best friend since she cut all her hair lol I've only been using it a few times but it's really good! I detangles my hair easily and gives a nice curly/wet effect. I like to apply it during the day so my curls last longer. I spray it from the bottom to the roots and then shape it with my fingers to define the curls.

STRAIGHT

John Frieda - Finish Spray Gloss : Well I got this anti frizz spray a few months ago and have been LOVING it!! It gives a nice shine, not greasy at all and it holds my hair a little bit too.

IC - Hair Polisher : Okay so this one was recommended to me by a cape verdian friend that has incredible hair and she's been using it for ages. I wanted to give it a try and got it in a afro hair salon (I usually don't get my hair products there except shampoo sometimes because they but a lot of keratin in their products which makes mine break ...) Anyways this oil smells like heaven, I apply it every day a few drops in my palms and just go through my hair with my fingers to avoid a sticky/greasy look.

Hi friends!
I have experienced a new hair color! After going through blonde, honey, brown and black I decided to go AUBURN! Actually it wasn't meant to be at all... I first wanted to get my hair back to honey and but I couldn't find the brand I always use =( I took another brand and my finally my hair dyed in a reddish brown... I like it and it's kind of a ombre look lol I plan on improving this mess in like 2 maybe 3 weeks!
Of course I'll post bette ra few pictures for you soon. I am recovering from the flu so it will wait a few days lol! You can't really tell it's reddish on this picture but outside by the sun it's almost orange lol

Spring 11 Beauty Trends

Ok so I know everybody talks about it but I've picked my 2 favorite spring trends, things that I would wear =)

Switch your basic black eyeliner for a color shade

bright colors are trendy this year but I think some makeup artist went a little too big with it! A thin layer of colored eyeliner looks bright and you don't end up looking like a clown....

I would advise to apply a thin layer of concealer before applying your liner so it doesn't blend all over the place.

And of course EASY on the lipstick!

This old hairstyle can be sooo edgy! When you don't know what to do with your hair use this !

Not only your hair will look shiny but it's also a chic look for a night out.

You can also wear it with a pony tail but I think the loose style looks better.

Start by your crown and comb the top and sides back. (Keep the comb lines so it looks like waves)

The Date Hair to Try This Weekend

Wow I just love Amanda Seyfried's hairstyle here! I think it would be a pretty look to embrace in a date.

The easiest way to get those waves would be a triple barrel iron but in order to avoid a strong look I would advice to just :

- section your hair in 2 parts
- braid it with large and lose parts
- add curling hairspray to fix the curl
- tie everything in a bun and secure with bobby pen

Sleep with it and the next morning you'll get the same result!

If you have curly hair I would recommend to straighten it BEFORE doing this!

Don't forget to brush your hair to avoid knots and for a smoother result.

Those 5 hairstyles only take less than 30 secs to do! I know yall don't wanna spend too much doing your hair every morning but still look good. I know the hairstyles in the pict probably took more than an hour to do lol but the main idea is here if one day you wake up not knowing what to do with your mess!

Some goodies for your hair!

These products are the ones I mainly use to STYLE my hair.

Of course I don't use it all at the same time lol!

I get random brands and I like to switch often so I can try new products so my hair don't get too used to a routine.

1. MIZANI Comfiderm Scalp Oil : a moisturizing serum that smoothes your hair and helps it to stay straight, but only use a small drop and apply from bottom to top in order to avoid a greasy result.

2. KERASTASE Soleil Micro Voile Protecteur : This one is a spray that gives shine to your hair and protects it from heat and has a sunscreen, I use it in summer mostly but in winter too. spray very far from your hair because the pump is strong lol

3. DESSANGE Elixir concentre de nutrition : I use this one everytime I shampoo on my wet hair, especially on the ends. it helps untangle your hair and nourishes it thanks to its 2 rich oils

4. PINK Body Mist from Victoria Secret : intrude lol

5. DARK & LOVELY Moisture Plus Olive Oil : This cream is really good but VERY THICK! I only use it at night after doing my shampoo or on the ends if I have really dry ends. I never apply it on my roots.

6. KERASTASE Specifique Fluide Purifiant : This one is especially made for pellicular hair. I tend to get pellicular states when I'm stressed out so I just apply some on my roots and leave it without rinsing it

THEN THE HOT TOOLS

HAIR DRYER : Calor 1700 CV 4030 this one is a basic hair dryer, I want to get a new one with at least 2200W so my hair can but dry faster.

REMINGTON TIStudio Pearl Ceramic : same thing here, a basic hair straightener. The edges are arrowed so you can give more shape to your look and even do lose curls!

Wait.. Are we rolling??

Quick tip for BIG curls! use rollers! it's better that using a curling iron because you won't burn your hair and don't even need to blow dry it before you roll ir =) just spray some fixer and hair lotion when it's still wet and roll your hair ! leave it all night and take the rolls off the morning! there you have your big hair!

I like to use a flat iron when it's really too big on the front side bangs !

Ombré Hair Trend

So I've been reading all types of magazines and saw this trend : the ombré hair.
I think it's a really cool trend for fall looks especially for people like me who switch between blonde and brunette in summer or fall. I like both colors on my hair and maybe this will look on me...

Hair Update : ALL BLACK EVERYTHING

Yes I did it! BLACK
the darkest color I ever dyed my hair with...
And I like it!
No worries it won't damage my hair, as far as I am doing a color every 3-4 months along with my relaxer...
And it doesn't have any ammoniac in it! =)
Anyways I wanted to go dark this fall. It goes away in like 28 shampoos so I won't be stuck with this color for long. I like to change !

Okay so I've been using over and over again these 10 products =)

NARS #Balthazar

Great shimmery duo eyeshadow! Perfect with the "camel" fashion trend. The pigments are very strong so it lasts the whole day or night. But I recommend using a primer to make it look better.

I use it with my fingers or with a brush if I want to blend it together.

Use the light color for your inner corners and brow bone as a highlighter and the dark color in the outer corner and crease to create an edgy look.
