Whats new in my beauty closet

Here's an overview of the new products I just got this month

HAIR

Actually I've been using them for a while now especially the Leonor Greyl which I looove! I've been using them for years, they're a little expensive but they last long. I don't usually but a lot of shampoo in my hair because I feel like it's abrasive I don't know...
I also get the extra large bottles so I never run out of it =)

I think this hairspray is perfect when I wear my hair curly because it really holds my curls. It's also good when I used on my straight hair BUT it gets pretty sticky on the roots =/ it's a little too strong for my hair. I still keep it when I have structured hairstyles that will need extra hold =)

Tresseme : curl care
I got this one in Canada last month and have already got a bottle in the US 2 years ago. This mousse is just fantastic it sets the curls really well and quick ! It also leaves your hair shiny and not bad looking.
It's cheap and I like to put some after applying hair oil before

Yves Rocher : Protectyl Vegetal
I used to love this brand but I thought they're make up brand was not that good so I turned myself to other brands. And completely forgot that Yves Rocher has all natural/vegetal products which are WAY BETTER for your skin!! I try not to use parabens and silicone on my skin. (I don't mind it in my makeup but not in my skincare products)
So basically it helps you keep your tan way longer (I use it right after my Comodynes towelettes)

I already talked about it on my previous posts =)

I'll but a picture of my nails with it!

Leonor Greyl : Huile de magnolia
I always get a bottle every summer so I can tan faster or to hydrate my face and body after the sun

Benefit Cosmetics : Ooh Lala / Porefessional
The Ooh La La is one of my favorite clear concealer I love to use it before my foundation and during the day as touch-ups so my eyes stay frech

Porefessional : I use it everyday as a base along with MAC fix + to make your makeup last longer ;)

July Make Up Bag

Here are some products that I've been loving this july!

Let me start with the tanning swipes that I use daily during the summer. They don't make you look orange at all, it gives you a natural shade and glow that will suit your skin perfectly!
It's easy to use : Just go thought all your body with one or two towelettes, you can even use it on your face (don't forget the ears and neck)

NO THESE ARE NOT CONDOMS !!!!!

I've been wearing all this stuff for this past month and I admit I kind of use them daily!
As you can see there's a lot of stuff but I don't wear them all at the same time duh!
Some of them were already shown on previous articles that you can find in the beauty or make up section.
From left to right, up to down :
MAC eyeshadow - Mythology / Too Faced - lip injection / Yes To Carrots berry chapstick / H&M nail polish / Benefit foundation / Victoria's Secret lipstick / Nars powder in Sienna / Benefit brow gel and liquid eye liner / L'oreal million lashes mascara / Hema nail file / H&M pen liner / Sephora and Hema brushes / Crest 3D Whitestrips and Comodynes towelettes

Get that Bright!

I say it all the time : your smile is the best cosmetic ever ! Some of you may be shy or may not be comfortable with their smile. That's why I wanted to show you some easy tips just to have a better/beautiful/bright smile !
=) is not enough you should =D

Here are some products and the frequencies I use them ;)
Let me put my little disclaimer here : I'm not a teeth pro, I don't have the best smile ever, I just want to share the products I use for my oral health.
Also, I recommend visiting your dentist twice a year minimum just to check if everything is right.

I never got my teeth fixed because I think they're okay but I wish I could go back and wear braces to make em perfectly straight. If you have major problems it's never too late to get it fixed by wearing braces at night. Just talk to your dentist about it and he'll give you good answers.

 CREST WHITESTRIPS & CREST TOOTHPASTE
For the best results I recommend these two!
I had never tried the white strips before and got really satisfied with the results within 10 days only.

How to :
I usually do this in once a day, just before I take my shower I apply the 2 trips on my teeth and just let it stay for 30-35 minutes while I continue to get ready. Then rince and brush with the paste 3x a day.
The taste is not really good and they tend to slip on your teeth a little bit but its okay.
They're affordable ($40) and the paste is $4 or something

SCOPE MOUTHWASH
I actually got this one in Canada so I don't know if this brand is available worldwide BUT you can find the exact same thing with Listerine or Crest.
It's a whitening mouthwash to use daily just like regular mouthwash after brushing your teeth or in the middle of the day to keep your breath fresh.

Hopefully this will answer your questions about smile =)
Feel free to comment below if you have other tips ^^

Hair 2.0

Yes I finally did it! This weekend I decided it was time to go back to bronde hair =) As you may have read it on my previous posts I only use 2 brands to dye my hair... L'oreal Cream Gloss when I get a darker shade, or Dark and Lovely if lighter .
I've already used this exact color 2 years ago but now the color is way brighter. Maybe because of the sun I don't know. Anyway I really like it because its a mix of brown and blonde, not to light for the doll look lol.
Here is the boy I've used.

 BEFORE

 NOW

Heaton Mall downtown =)

So I went to one of the biggest mall in Montreal and found really good things there, even if the prices are higher than those in NYC it's okay.
I discovered 2 cool stores so here are some pictures of my trip at the mall =)

La Senza is kind of a Canadian version of Victoria's Secret, they have really cute outfits and body lotions that smell really good =) The prices are okay

And here is Inglot a really cute makeup store, unfortunately I was running out of time so I didn't really tried their stuff. So I definitaly have to come back =)

Hello MTL

So yeah yesterday I finally took the plane to Montreal, Canada =)
Everything went well except that I was really bored during the 8 hour flight. But anyways my girlfriends picked me at the airport and I had some rest !
Here is my little beauty kit for the flight =)
- Cleansing swipes - Concealer - Chapstick - Perfume and body spray
I usually don't wear make up when I take the plane just because it's not really comfortable ... Anyways I'll try to update a little bit everyday =)

At-Home Spa Treatments

Ava Shamban's new book, Heal Your Skin features dozens of spa-like recipes that you can create almost  for free with the stuff in your fridge. Here are some of it ;)

 Strawberry Mask
1 egg white
3 or 4 large strawberries, hulled
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon fine cornmeal

Beat egg white in a glass bowl until frothy. Blend strawberries and honey. Add mixture and cornmeal to egg white and mix. Apply to wet, clean face and leave on for twenty minutes. Rinse off with room-temperature water.

This mask will help fight breakouts—you can use it anywhere you're zit-prone.

-------------

Orange Peel Body Scrub
Wrap clean orange peels in gauze. Rub your skin while showering.

It will leave you super-soft—plus you'll get the natural fragrance!

-------------

Avocado Refreshing and Soothing Mask

1/2 avocado
1 tablespoon yogurt
1 egg white
1/3 teaspoon lemon juice

Mix all ingredient in a bowl. Apply to damp skin and leave on for 10 to 15 minutes. Rinse off with room-temperature water.
This one is great for oily skin.

10 Hair Tips You've Probably Never Heard Before by Cosmo

1) Find a shampoo that lathers less. Sudsy doesn’t necessarily mean clean—sometimes, it means the opposite. Shampoos that lather too much are often overloaded with moisturizing products, which can leave build-up in your hair, making it look and feel dirtier quicker. So opt for a sulfate-free formula.

2) Give your locks a burst of cold. Before you hop out of the shower, turn the cold water on for a second and quickly rinse it through your strands. It helps seal the cuticle, adding a sleek finish to your locks.
3) Play hot-and-cold as you dry. When using a round brush to dry your hair in sections, start from the roots and dry all the way to the ends, letting the brush linger at the tips of your strands. Let your hair cool off like this on its own for five seconds, then repeat on another section. Alternating between heat and cool-down time helps set your style, and your blowout will have more body.
4) Do an at-home glaze between color appointments. Glazes fill holes and rough spots in your hair cuticles, helping smooth your locks and put moisture back into your hair. This keeps your color shiny and bright so it lasts longer and look better. Plus, you can snag an at-home kit from your local drugstore.
5) Use rollers for high-volume. For sex-kitten lift, blow out your locks until they’re dry. Then, section off the hair on top of your head—between your temples and all the way back to the crown of your hair. Divide that section into three smaller sections vertically (as if you were making a mohawk), and wrap each in a 2-inch velcro hair roller. Let your hair sit like this for 30 minutes, and then unwrap your strands, lightly comb them out, and spray for hold.

6) Drop the towel. Keeping wet strands wrapped in a towel for a half-hour as you do your make-up will just cause frizz! The roughness of the cotton forces your hair cuticles open, making them more likely to go every-which-way. Instead, squeeze out excess water as soon as you’re out of the shower, then let your hair air-dry for five or ten minutes before blowdrying.
7) Apply products 10 minutes before you style. Whether you’re curling, straightening, or whatevering, applying product 10 minutes in advance helps it fully absorb into your strands so you get all of its benefits and more bang for your buck.
8) Wrap—don’t clamp—your hair for quick curls. When using a curling iron, you don’t need to fasten your locks to the barrel. Wrap sections around the iron and hold in place for about 10 seconds to score the same soft, sexy curls.
9) Use spray bottles as your new lazy-day BFF. If you wake up and your locks are totally flat or grungy from the day before, just spray the top layer of your hair until damp, and then use a big barrel roundbrush (2 inches or more) to blow your locks dry. You’ll score high volume on that top layer, and since it’s freshly blown out, you’ll create the illusion of all-over smooth hair.
10) Use dry shampoo a different way. Instead of waiting until your locks need an dirt-fighting pick-me-up, apply a dab of dry shampoo to your roots immediately after you wash and dry them. Though your hair’s already clean, the barrier will stave off the debris and oil your strands will collect throughout the day before it hits. Bonus: It also gives you killer volume.

Vitamin Lips ??

So yesterday I went to the movies and I got a vitamin water bottle to calm my thirst lol when the waitress handed me a vitaminschtick I was like really???? Cool! I wasn't really convinced of the result. I've tested sooo many cheap lip balms and was disapointed. I only use my Yes To Carrot stick but I can tell you the VitaminSchtick just kicked it out of my bad haha! this lip balm is great! It slips on my lips like water really! So smooth and it hydrates very well too. And of course it tastes just like the beverage ;)

For the little story :

Vitamin Water teamed up with everyone’s favorite chapstick Lip Smackers to create Vitamin Schtick. Not only does its adorable packaging mimic your favorite Vitamin Water bottles, the flavors do too. They come in: Power-C (dragon fruit), XXX (acai, blueberry and pomegranate), Multi-V (lemonade), Focus (kiwi/strawberry), Essential (orange), Energy (tropical citrus), Formula 50 (grape), and Revive (fruit punch). They contain both Vitamin E and sunscreen. Your nails match your toes. Why shouldn’t your water match your chapstick?

B-Right from Benefit Cosmetics

I don't know if you heard of the new Benefit face care range... It's available in the US and Canada now and I got 2 products from it. A face hydrating mist and a face scrub.
Let me tell you that at first glance I was not really into it... I'm not a big fan of vintage packages and I already used a few Benefit products like the Honey scrub that was okay. Anyways I've been using those for a few days and I love it. It smells really good.

The Hydrating mist is okay, I use it before I apply my toner but I don't really see how it works. I also like to apply some during the day instead of my MAC Fix + it makes the makeup last longer.

The Facial Polish : GREAT! It smells good, the paste is not too thick and the crystals scrub the skin really well. I use it twice a week along with my daily face cleanser from Clinique.
I think you can use it as a mask to open the pores if you leave it for 10min.
